This is a awesome placement unless you have a Corbin Smuggler.

I have a smuggler and use that bracket. No problem.

That looks awesome, Kevin. Would you mind posting more details of that home made smuggler setup. Maybe start a separate thread because I know a lot of other folks would be interested.
There was a guy who did the same with an older style Nelson Rigg CS-100 tail bag, but he seems to have taken his roadrunner web site down.

It seems like there's enough room for a fuse block up around the battery/relays under the front panel. I've always had mine under the seat on other bikes, but sure seems like it would cut down on wires, and save space under the seat without need for any bracketry. Anyone do this on a Gen 3?
