39, sunny, and teasing. One moped blew through a red light doing a whopping 28mph. I just have to wait a few more weeks for the sand and salt to get washed from some rain. Frost heaves will suck, as usual.
I'm OK with the sand - extreme caution in corners. Salt, however, is unforgiving in what it does to aluminum bits and electrical. I'll be on the road after a good salt-rinsing rain as long as temperatures are above freezing and no chance of icy patches. Target is usually St. Patrick's Day but weather frequently does not cooperate.I just have to wait a few more weeks for the sand and salt to get washed from some rain. Agree.-12F when I got up this morning. Pretty average winter day. I laugh at the whole groundhog thing every year. at least 6 more weeks of winter is a given in MN
Thought I saw a chart a few days ago showing how the reservoirs we're all getting back to normal seasonal levels, especially considering the snowpack that will melt in the spring.. But amazingly, the tv forecasters have told us over and over, sure, it's raining and flooding, but we're still in a drought!
Nothing compared to what you have been seeing but we are in the middle of a major snow squall. Looks like it may finish in the next hour or two with a few inches of new snow on top of what we already have. Still a couple of feet on the front lawn when it is often gone by the end of March. I'm ready for winter to be over! This winter in the Sierra's mother nature said "hold my beer"! We are even surpassing the record year of 82-83 in Northern Ca. Over 57 FEET of snow in the Lake Tahoe region.
If I see another snowflake I'm going postal!
