As some of you know, I picked up another Gen1 bike a few months ago .....and since the moment I got it home, it has been up on blocks and I've been attempting to incorporate many of my thoughts and ideas into it.

My main goal was to create a solid "Nevada Style" rally bike ...and I hope I've done that. Hence the Battle Born Bike ...from the Battle Born State.

I'm finally about done, -and have put together an overview of what I've done so far. Still things to do ..but finally at the stage of the game to start logging miles and shaking out any issues.

Kinda long report ....but it's taken a long time to get to this stage :)

Pictures here are just a small fraction.

Fantastic write-up!

You realize, this sets the bar pretty high for the rest of us! I already want the keyless (Battle Ready) option!

Take some night shots...I have a feeling it would look like the Space Shuttle is trying to land on your street!

Great job on the bike RJ! :clapping:

PS - I will be heading to Ferntucky for the holiday weekend? Maybe I will see you around?

RJ, that's just beyond awesome.

I hat's off to you and the thought you put into everything.

We gotta go ride!!!

Thanks and YES, the keyless ignition is high on my list of favorites. Truly awesome to be able to go keyless.

Hey Sammy .....let me know, I'll be around most of the weekend with a few commitments here/there.

RH --->thanks much and I appreciate the comments coming from you. took a while to get there, but I'm pretty happy with it. I hope I say that after some seriously brutal shake-down miles.

Yep, we need to ride, no doubt an old-skewl match-up that would scare all but radioactive farm animals.

Editorial note added for clarification.

RJ...Shit, dude...looking good! Just have time for a quick read of the write up but you can bet I'll be back to read all the details later.

Congratulations. The thing looks dynamite.

That is an amazing project; both in scope and execution.

My hat is off to you, RJ!

(You're a type "A' personality, huh?)

[( I have recently been blessed with two grandsons; Almost 2, and almost 1. This has brought back my appreciation of babies.

Grace is absolutely adorable!)]

Now then, slacker... head that bike South, fully loaded, to the Hondarosa!

You already know this, 'cause I know the way you think... but you have to test the crap out of that new system.. You have so many new wiring points, connections, possible fault areas. You know what you need to do. Now make it happen. If you need to chase a truly superior dirty as hell Gen2 down some nasty-ass dirt washboard roads, let me know.
