The smuggler and trunk look really nice painted.

Cool truck Richard.

Now you got some place to hang your balls.

and the trunk looks nice too.

Fairlaner - really like your GPS setup. Just received my 665 w/ Touratech mount and bracket. Was interested in how you mounted your satellite antenna?

That is mounted on a Skyway mount (not available anymore) which is mounted to a Ram ball on the Heli triple clamp....
I may have a spare Skyway mount in the garage I will check later for you.
you can just make it out in the pic

Fairlaner: Hmmm..... Heli Triple Clamp. So my Farkle leader - do I "need" one of these, considering my touring aspirations for the FJR.

If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery then you should feel good - my bike is starting to look suspiciously like yours:

1) Smuggler Trunk (Stone Grey) - check

2) Custom Seat (Corbin) - check

3) Canyon Cages - check (as soon as they are available)

4) OEM Top Box (Stone Grey) - check

And of course the hand guards, bar ends, aux buttons, etc look really good. Have added them to my short list

The Smuggler and Corbin seat are being built now (6 to 8 weeks delivery - ugh) The top box is being ordered by my dealer and the canyon cages are waiting on your fitting and MC build-out. The 665 and Touratech stuff came today. I am working through mounting options for antenna. The plan is to have the FJR completely outfitted by the time I get finished with the CBR.

your best option would be to mount it to the top of either the clutch of brake reservoirs.....

if you want me to spend your money for you and give you some suggestions PM me your phone number and i will call you.

Fairlaner, has your transmission changed any with mileage? I noticed in the last few hundred miles that it seems to be more "clunky" when down shifting. The first 2K miles seemed to be smooth as butter, but now sometimes , even when fully warm, it takes more pressure to down shift, and sometimes 5th to 4th really clunks big time. I change my oil just in case, but its still doing it..has me kinda stumped, and worried.

I cant really say that I have noticed any change, next time I ride it I will take note and let you know.

Noob here.

Do you have weather protection for your radar detector? Also, how do you adjust position of handlebars?

Sweet bike. I am thinking hard of trading my Tenere for a Gen3.
