We're all getting up there in age, the thought just came to me about the day I won't be able to ride anymore.

It will happen to all of us at some point, probably because of balance issues or plain health issues.

I know a guy named Jack who rides a Kawasaki ZRX1200 here in So Cal, he hangs at the ROCK STORE sometimes. He's the oldest rider I know.

He's like 75 or so.

How old is the oldest rider you know?

79 year old Cliff, on his 900lb road king (sat he rode 270 miles with us)

My friend John was at the Reuben Run on a new Can-am. He will be 80 on his next lap around the sun. His wife is one year behind him and she still enjoys the back seat.

My uncle bought a Harley this year. He is in his high 70's. He rode a Honda 450 years ago but had not ridden in quite a few years. I think my adventures on my FJR had some influence on him regarding wanting to ride again.

My friends father in law. Doc is 87 and still going. Rides a naked R 1150 with a sidecar. Until a bout with prostate cancer was doing 30000 a year. Flew b17 over Germany, life is on loan he's living it.

Bob Richey from Capitan, N.M. 86 years old and last month did a trip to Arkansas and back by

himself on a 2007 FJR which he has for sale. WW II vet, his other bikes are an 07 FJR with a

sidecar, DL650 V-strom and Dr 650. He claims to have owned over 90 bikes BMW, Harley,

MotoGuzzi, all jap brands Triumph, BSA, YOU NAME IT. One fine fellow and still can go down the

road when and wherever you want. I have the honor of meeting him for lunch on 5Nov13 in Tularosa,

N.M., lucky me.

I got a customer of mine that works as a sales manager at the Local Harley dealership.... great guy - got me on an all day Buell Track day, along with my FJR.... His Father is 89 years old and gets a new Street Glide every year. He shows up at my place almost every Sunday to fill up his bike before he goes on his group rides with his buddies, that are all his age....

They are a great group of guys, some the same age and some younger - doesn't matter the temp outside - 30-40 degrees whatever - he's in like clockwork.... Super cool to know him and talk with him every sunday....

I honestly can see him going away anytime soon !!! I seriously admire his passion for life....

The Passion for Life...

i get it..

My father is 81 and riding a '03 Honda VTX1800. He rode an old Indian back in the late 40's and had a couple new Harleys in the early fifties until he got married. Since '72 he's always had bikes. He started drooling when the new Indians came out this year.

He still gets out to ride with my uncle who is like 78.

Sorry Don, I just look like the oldest, wabill, my friend from the PNW is a young 75 years old. And he still owns a Duc and rides it.

Don, I own a 1966 Norton, does that make me the oldest bike owner?

Arnold Buchanan is 75 and still rides dirt bikes in the Ganaraska with us sometimes on our Thursday night rides.

Yo David, why haven't you posted up photos of that Beauty?!?! I owned a 1964 Norton Atlas 750 I bought brand new from Champion Motorsports in Costa Mesa, CA. I had to sell my gorgeous Norton when I joined the US Army in October of 1968. I still love Nortons!

Honestly, the oldest riders I KNOW, are prolly Jer and Petey. No offense, but maybe it's just cuz 3/4 of you are old enough to be my dad.

I love hanging out with you old fellers!!
