This is quite a feat, especially when you consider that this is the first time anyone has ever done 100,000 miles or more in a year on the SAME motorcycle. All previous records have been set using multiple bikes.
Now, that doesn't sound quite right....... :unsure:

While anything is possible, I am reasonably sure that not all of the current 100K players listed below swapped out bikes along the way....

Name || Home || Year || Bike || Miles

================================================

Verne Hauck || Millersville PA || 2002 || H-D FLTRI Road Glide || 113,245

Don Arthur || McLean, VA || 2002 || BMW K1200LT || 115,046

Phil Mattson || Creston, IA || 2002 || H-D FLHTCI || 125,123

Phil Mann || Michigan || 1994 || BMW || 113,205

Joe Mandeville || California || 1993 || BMW K1100RS || 122,976

Michael Kneebone || Illinois || 1984 || Yamaha Venture Royale || 107,501

Regardless of same bike or not...an absolutely stellar feat. Just the sheer math of 340+ average miles a day....every single day of the year is staggering. I'm a total wuss at 20-25K a year.

I'm rooting for her...sore hip and all. :clapping:

Hell, Ardys Kellerman did the 100k this year on her BMW and she's a great grandmother!

I'm not knocking the accomplishment, just the baseless claim that this is the first time it's been done.

And I seem to recall that Voni Glaves has done the 100,000 mile/year thang before as well..... pretty sure she has....

And yeah, it's hard to beat Ardys Kellerman.... that woman is something else....

B.....Y.....E....
Just so everybody knows, Fred H. original posted a comment about MotorcycleMom racking up 125K+ miles on a Goldwing with the addition of being the first to do it on a single motorcycle....until she was in an accident. She's slogging it out now with a duct taped bike the last 1000 or so miles to set a mileage record at least.

Then some discussion happened questioning whether others might have used the same bike or no........he didn't seem to like the way the conversation was going and went back and edited all of his posts....replacing things with a B....Y.....E...

It's not the first time Freh H. has gotten in a snit and packed up his toys, but it's certainly been the quickest at 46 minutes. Just thought people would like to know the context of the thread.....and that I (seemingly unusually) don't think I had a thing to do with it.

Ride on MotorcycleMom! I hope you make the record!

$10 says he doesn't last our another year before dumping the bike and moving to a platform where his every move will be honored according to the visionary status he so richly deserves.

I give up, you win.

It seems every single thing I post on this board becomes a target for those who enjoy picking it to pieces. Please remove all my posts and my profile from this board. I no longer wish to be associated with it in any way. I have better things to do with my time.

Bye Fred. Can you at least leave your ball? :rolleyes:

Suggestion for Admins: Screw the bike logo and insert this:

CHECK YOUR EGOS AT THE DOOR

Sorry, I don't believe it. Somehow some way, its totally your fault. Shame on you Iggy! :headbonk:

Fred-H, dude, people are gonna question you when you make statements like "First" and "Only" its just human nature. I don't know if she's the first, but dayum that's hardcore. Wish I could devote a year to just riding and racking up the miles. Maybe some day before I die...

What with all the bugs on his bike I think Boogah has more to upset about ;) Man if I got pissed off and left the board everytime someone questioned me, well no one would notice. See Fred - you're famous!

Dammit Fred, you keep leaving for good before I have a chance to pick every single thing you post to pieces, something I heartily enjoy. I refuse to be associated with it anymore. Infinite.

Fred had a hard go of it since the beginning- remember the kick stand thread that Fred took so much grief from? I will miss you and, Fred, by the way you were right about the kickstand and I used an angle grinder to take mine down a little. Best wishes.

:blink: I feel like I missed out on something fun :blink:

Nice functional repair on the wing :eek:k:
