I hate to say this but its your clutch :( I had the same problem an finally replaced the clutch and
works fine now. The problem is the motor is running faster then the wheels are turning and the
computer wants you to shift. (clutch slipping).
By loss of power I mean no power to the throttle, The lights did stay on and once I turned the bike off and back on the gages went thru there
normal start up process but had no power to the starter button.
Here we go again. I was riding down the highway about 75 and the bike lost all
of its power. The bike is a 2006 FJR1300AE with 25,000 miles and has been nothing
but problem. . .
Does anyone know what code 43 is? I switch the key on and off several times
but would not start. I flipped the...
hppants has a bigger problem than he thinks. Much like addiction, no self control, an I don't care attitude. It's the very bad
drug called FJR .) Be careful and don't let those BIG bugs knock you off the bike!
I live in Denver and I would do RMNP and Mt Evans as Burnspot is suggesting. Mt Evans is far better and shorter ride than Pikes Peak and gets you just as high. I would go west to east on trailridge road also. Both can be done in one long day but why push so hard you can't enjoy it. If you need...
Love my AE ! Went up MT Evans today for the first time this season. It did good to 13,000' and then not so good ! Road closed because of snow :) Just nothing like having a paddle shifter on the twisty roads if your working the corners hard. . . Ride safe my friends.
YOU WILL LOVE THE AE MODLE. Just picked mine up 3 weeks ago. so easy to ride in town. Don't know why
anyone would want a manual clutch. But I guess being 58 has a lot to do with it. :)
Got the problem fixed. NO more shift light coming on.
Found out the battery cable was loose and only had to tighten it up.
So thankful for the easy fix.
Have a great day and ride safe.
Thanks gixxer that is what is going on. Thank you for posting the video and I see now I can hopefully switch the bike on and off to get a quick fix. Bringing the bike to a stop in 5 gear makes me very uneasy!
