    St George area riders

Recently moved to St George UT for 8-9 months per year. Looking for local fellow riders that want to do anything from day rides to 1,000-2,000 mile rides. I camp, stay in motels, whatever works; age 61. Not retired but can carve out days when wanted. Rick

Mid-Sep trip WA, BC, MT, ID

Spud: I've done most of what you did on your trip, but it took me several trips to do it. The time I rode to Jasper, I started in Park City, then to Seattle, Whistler, then further NW to Prince George, then to Willams Lake then over to Bella Coola on the coast where we took the ferry to the...

Mid-Sep trip WA, BC, MT, ID

Mikeames said: "then up to Kamiah, ID then Lolo pass to Montana" I've stayed at the biker lodge in Kamiah - nice place, and then rode Hwy 12 to Lolo pass and south of Missoula. Great road. I'll look for you out there. I'm on kind of a metallic brown '09, red jacket, yellow bag on the back...

Mid-Sep trip WA, BC, MT, ID

Thanks for the comments! Has anyone done hwy 508 in Montana that heads northeast off Hwy 2 about 19 miles southeast of Bonners Ferry ID? Starting 508 to Yaak, then hwy 92 into hwy 37 southwest of Rexford and Eureka, MT. Wondering if its an okay road, or if I'd be reminded of the pothole road...

    Two hour delay

A few days after Christmas, a mother was working in the kitchen and listening to her son playing with his new electric trains in the living room. She heard the train stop and her son say, "All of you sons of bitches who want off, get the hell off now because this the last stop. All of you sons...

    Opinions of MCL highway pegs

I've liked the occasional relief the MCLs provide - both for the breeze and the leg position. Hoping the frame sliders prevent any tipover damage. I don't ride aggressively enough to have them touch pavement.

FJR on gravel and fire roads

Riding in British Columbia I had to do what seemed like a 20% grade on a gravel road down into Bella Coola (from 5000 feet elevation to near sea level in only a few miles). It was very challenging but the scariest part was when a grizzly came out of the trees 100 yards ahead and stopped on the...

    1.3 Gallon Gas Tank Reserve

www.pure-gas.org shows a lot of ethanol free stations all over FL. Can't imagine one wouldn't be near.

    Ranching in CO

I think I knew this girl when I was growing up in Boulder: A blonde city girl named Amy marries a Colorado rancher. One morning, on his way out to check on the cows, the rancher says to Amy, "The insemination man is coming over to impregnate one of our cows, so I drove a nail into the 2x4 just...

    FJR Comfort vs. FZ6

I've gone 400-600 mile consecutive days in great comfort on my FJR with a Rich's seat, risers, highway pegs (used infrequently- only to stretch the legs out once in a while). A cramp buster on the throttle helps also. I rode a Honda 750 Shadow previously; my back would kill within 45 minutes...
