Higher mileage commuter bike needs a new home. Has about 90k on the clock. Suspension is due for an overhaul. Good condition for the age/mileage. $3,000/OBO. Happy to answer any questions, and will consider all reasonable offers. Thanks.

Wow,what a relief. I thought you stopped them because I showed up at the last one. My 40th birthday is October 2, so I think I have an excuse to celebrate at both.

A recall has just been announced regarding the ground splice issue. My link Seems like a small number of affected units, but I guess the FJR isn't all that big a seller for Yamaha. If someone else already posted about this, I apologize.

I got 18k out of the last set of Pirelli Angel ST tires. I liked em so much I put another set on 2 weeks ago. I'm hoping my new fork brace will keep the front from cupping like the last one did. Other than the cupping, I have no complaints.

Did they give any indication as to how long the rework would take? I'm not sure if I still have the stock fork protectors laying around. Don't want my fork legs getting sandblasted here in PHX for too long.

The Super Brace I got for my 08 AE also fits like crap. Maybe they're trying to actually get it right for the 10/11 models. At least it was cheap, that makes it a lot easier to swallow the poor quality. :assassin:

Is it the general consensus to stick with OE, or are there some good aftermarket alternatives? While replacing my tires today I noticed one of my front pads is starting to get a little thin.

I've had mine for about a year and a half, and I'm very happy with it. I ride to work every day, year round, and it is my only jacket. I have a heated vest for the colder days. The construction seems solid. Fortunately I've never tested the crash reliablility. I'd buy another one.
