Thanks for the help guys.  I got in touch with MCcruise and we traced it down to a loose ground.

I have an MC CRUISE installed on an 07.  The problem is that after a battery change the indicator light on the cruise control just flashes between red & green and will not engage.  Anyone else have this problem?

The "AE" model is a great machine no doubt, however it is not without fault. I miss the ability to coast most of all. Getting the bike into neutral without power is quite the pain. The computer slips the clutch a bit too much in first gear when starting from a stop, but doesn't seem to wear...

My 07 does the same thing, this is normal to hear the fuel pump change tone with increased electrical load. Its only noticeable because its an intermittent load.

Just finished about 150 mile ride in 100 temps and never heard the "tapping". However I could make the same ride tomorrow and it would do it every time I got slow enough to hear it. Does this sound like to you guys that it could still be the CCT?
