I've experimented with tire pressures on my '05 FJR, high and low. None of that has ever caused any difficulty in turning. I don't think tire pressure is your problem. Nor, new or worn tires. My best guess is that your head bearings are too tight. IRBR

Based on everything I have read, I wouldn't recommend placing tires on your bike that are not of the recommended sizes and ratios. In general, wider tires will hamper your steering, especially at low speeds. A few years ago, my son decided he knew more than the people that designed his...

I've gone through 2 different models of Metzler's on my '05 FJR. No more of those. The bike wouldn't hold a line in a high speed turn. I'm currently using Michelin Pilot Road's and am extremely pleased with them in every way. IRBR

I'm not criticizing anyone but I've never understood people's desires to buy a vehicle, then make it faster. I see this characteristic in Harley riders all the time. They buy a seriously underpowered, relatively poor handling machine, and spend endless hours and money to make it somewhat faster...

There could be a lot of different reasons why motorcycle deaths have increased. But until a new scientific study similar to the Hurt Report is completed, public perceptions reinforced by media biases and general public misinformation will continue to be the perceived reality. IRBR
