Good news - the new heated grip is covered by YES. :yahoo: These grips were factory installed, (not by the dealer). The both wires broke completely in two about a half inch from where the wire enter the molded section of the grip. Thanks to everyone for the info.

Just my luck, just as the weather is cooling down and my heated grips feel oh so good, the throttle side has quit working. When it quit working the other hand went into overdrive getting so hot I had to shut it off completely. The problem, the wire inside the throttle housing has flexed too...
