    Electrical problem!!!

Thanks to everyone for their feedback. This gives me a couple good places to start looking. I'll let you know what I find, thanks...

    Electrical problem!!!

Yes, this is exactly what happened. Turned the key to the on position and the bike started without pushing the start button, multiple times. I suspected a stuck starter button and thought it got un-stuck after messing with it for a while. My other theory is the starter never disengaged and...

    Electrical problem!!!

After trailering my 06' FJR1300ae from Indiana to Denver with a group of bikes, I unloaded it successfully and prepped for the next morning ride. This was to be a 10 day tour of Colorado. The next morning, after a hard rain the night before, I turned the key on and the bike instantly started...

    Lowering advice please.

Bounce, Innovative & unique solution, just a bit drastic for this problem.  Thanks though...

    Lowering advice please.

I’ve got a 2016 FJR1300A I’d like to lower between 1 to 2”. I’ve located lowering links, adjustable side stand & centerstand from T-Rex Racing and/or Soupy’s. Was wanting to slide the front forks above the triple clamp maybe an inch or so but looks like I’d need to use riser blocks under the...

    AE appendectomy

Let me be perfectly clear on this. It was the AE system that suddenly engaged and spun the back wheel. I'm very aware of the quirkyness of this system, I've been riding it for 6 years. I have always been able to manage this before, but this time it caught me off guard. I wasn't dragging the...

    AE appendectomy

Ok, I've been riding my 06' AE for 50,000 miles now. I've adapted to the less than stellar clutch control at low speeds. Unfortunately over the past year it has gotten progressively worse. A clutch bleed last month helped significately but it still wasn't great. I still get a SH_26 error...

I think my new 2009 FJR1300AE has the dreaded dry clutch syndrome

My AE started jerking also. It's an 06' and it started jerking when cold around 44,000 miles. Now with 47,000 miles it does it all the time cold or hot. Forced to ride the rear brake just to get it to launch. I'm in the process of bleeding the clutch now. If I could just figure out how. My...

    AE jerking me around

Thanks for the advise mcatrophy. I have checked the fluid level and it is good. But it has never been changed and it does have 46,000 miles on it. I will try that next. Thanks again.

    AE jerking me around

Looking to see if any of you AE owners have experienced this problem, and if so, what it took to fix it: I have an 06' AE that the clutch started engaging in and out rapidly whenever I try to take off in first gear only when it was cold. Only slightly at first but it has continued to get...

What happens with AE if it runs out of gas?

Here's what happens: At about 65 miles on the reserve mileage indicator the bike starts missing. Jerking the bike side to side to get it running again. It will get you a few more miles. At 69 miles the engine dies. There is some engine breaking as you pull to the should. As the RPMs drop...

    Factory heated grip problem

Good news - the new heated grip is covered by YES. :yahoo: These grips were factory installed, (not by the dealer). The both wires broke completely in two about a half inch from where the wire enter the molded section of the grip. Thanks to everyone for the info.

    Factory heated grip problem

Just my luck, just as the weather is cooling down and my heated grips feel oh so good, the throttle side has quit working. When it quit working the other hand went into overdrive getting so hot I had to shut it off completely. The problem, the wire inside the throttle housing has flexed too...

    Windshield restriction

Noticed the other day riding to work on a cool morning that my windshield didn't seem to move to what I thought was it's normal high position. I wasn't sure if it was me or was something wrong with the windshield. Today I got a chance to investigate it further. It turns out that the molded...
