    Towing a trailer

Thanks to those who let me know of the options for a hitch made for the FJR (I already have a trailer from my other bike.) I would also add that trailering gets "interesting" if the trailer outweighs the tow vehicle. A friend of mine built a trailer to tow his sportster behind his Harley...

I don't know where to start with this

Actually the relative weight transfers to the front and the rear end "lightens" when braking no matter which brake you use. Using the front brake agressively is more effective in causing this weight transfer, however it is important to understand that either front or rear braking will cause it...

Barbarian mod on a '07 FJR

I want to do this mod, But I would be even more comfortable about it if I knew for sure what color the wire I need to move is. In the photos it appears that not every pin has a number clearly marked. I have an 07a. Thanks. I'd hate to let the smoke out of the wires!

How do you precisely measure engine vacuum?

I certainly appreciate all the information. The good news is my bike did run smoother after the sync. On the other hand I get the impression that the dial gages I see on E-bay etc are a waste of money. So I'll save up for a better set.

How do you precisely measure engine vacuum?

I helped my dealer's mechanic do my 600 mile throttle sync check (he had never done an FJR). We must have missed the part about setting #3 to 250mm/HG. How critical is that step? I am wanting to get a sync tool so I can do it myself, but when I went looking most that I found were dial...

    Power Commander III

I don't know if it applies to the FJR, since it is a rather diferent system. but I also have a harley with a power commander installed. I discovered while "doing Sturgis" that the Fuel injection went lean at altitude and not rich like I would have thought. I solved it by going 1 -2 steps...

Manual Tire Changing and the Strada "E"

I have never changed a motorcycle tire myself. I have done pedalbikes and a few 4-wheelers and car tires but... What tools or equipment would I need to be able to change a motorcycle tire without damaging the rim? What about balancing the tire?
