I always had bikes that did the 2-1 tire wear thing myself..until I started getting bigger fatter bikes, then it seems to be even wear..I just go with the fact these bikes are made to handle decent and if u push them at all you are putting a pile of weight on the front tire every time you turn...

Thats funny:) I had a electraglide myself once,always fought the sore butt, back thing like everyone else.(for 35 years) .That was always far more pain than i ever got on the arms on a SS bike. It hurt like hell the first time I ever rode a real sportbike (gsxr6) for a couple 500 mile...

Can't help you with the flapping, but amazing the racket you hear reflected up with the shield up..another reason for plugs and leaving the shield down! good luck!

Mine varies due to the terrain and my hand to give any numbers, but on the long rides my fjr and buddies st13 get about the same mpg..and other than the larger lump of black plastic in front of you making the st seem way bigger, I find they keep up well with each other.
