Does anyone have any recommendation on front and rear stands for the FJR? I ahve searched and cannot find anything specific to the FJR.
Any help is appreciated.
I just upgraded my stock pipes with Vance & Hines slip ons. Now I have these two stock cans laying around and am trying to figure out what to do with them. There are tons of stock mufflers on eBay for cheap. Is it worth my time trying to sell them? Could I get some money by taking them to...
Hey guys,
I just signed up for my first ever track day in April. I will be riding my FJR and using this as a test to see if regular track days are for me (and if they are I will be buying a literbike for the track). I would like to solicit some advice from people who know.
Question 1: I will...
Yamaha Customer Service has now told me that this is an issue between myself and New Orleans Powersports and there is nothing they are going to do. Evidently it doesn't take much to remain a Yamaha dealer.
Here's a rundown of my experience with New Orleans Powersports.
2 weeks prior to appointment I call about the Grounding Harness recall. They schedule the appointment and tell me htat they have the part in stock. They also tell me that this fix requires ~6 hours so I would need to arrange...
When I first saw this footage on teh news this morning I couldn't stop staring at those 2 beautiful FJRs in the background.
It is a tragedy, and I am not trying to take anything away from that...but those are some good looking bikes :D

Good luck on finding a tank for a Gen 1 that isn't rusted. I've been looking for a used one for a while now. Your bike is also getting to that age where all of it's hoses need to be replaced...so be sure to inspect those as well.
One thing I love about the SV is how easy it is to raise and...
I took a few pictures of both of my bikes outside my house yesterday. The SV650 is a 2001 with 18,000 miles on it. She was my daily rider for years, until I got the FJR and got accustomed to a little more comfort (plus the bags make the daily rider a lot more versatile). I am thinking about...
I'll try to post some pictures today. I'm still pretty new to the board and I do a lot more buying than selling, so i am still feeling my way around my first sale items.
As for the seats, they were internally modified and had the stock seat cover re-used, so they still look stock. Both are in...
I absolutely loved reading this entire thread. This is a genius idea...I've always wanted a James Bond defensive system (minus the ejection seat...I think that all bikes come with one of those).
Sheer genius...has the aft defensive system ever been deployed?
