Skipping and clacking at low speed

Bump, Ordered parts for the slipper upgrade ($395) ... more to come, I'm hoping that this is limited to worn plates, since some folks have been talking about wearing down my transmission dogs.

Skipping and clacking at low speed

It was definitely progressive. It started to happen more often. I'm going to do the updated clutch anyway (with the engine assist) so I'll be in there to take a look.

Skipping and clacking at low speed

Thanks for the replies, 17K miles, owned it since about 6K I've ridden about once a week 24 miles round trip in Chicago stop and go traffic (12 miles in 45 minutes), that's a lot of clutchwork between 1-2 gears. lots of "rolling stops". This has been going on for about 2.5 years. To my...

Skipping and clacking at low speed

Ok so this happens on occasion when doing low-speed clutch work. The typical situation is that I need to slow down to about 10mph from like 20mph or so. So I pull in the clutch, shift to 1st, and then (while still rolling at about 10mph, or less) slowly release the clutch and throttle (try and...

    2013 FJR setup

I was also tossing whether to get a laminar or an MRA, and went with the MRA for it's adjustable. Got the clamp on so I can try it before bolting it onto the Yam touring windshield. I like being in a "bubble" so this is the way to go for me.

    Summer Jacket Conversation

I bought a 58, fits like a glove. My measurements: 42.5" chest, 42" belly (I WASN'T ALWAYS LIKE THIS!!!) Bicep = 14" (arms are snug but not constricting). Edit: I also have the G2 back protector in there, still fits well. Edit 2: I remember the Dianese guy saying to go down one more size...

Need help to stop farkle mania :)

I'll admit that I neglected to add the GPS, since I mine is a old Nexus 7 re-purposed for touring. The ram mount should have been mentioned however. The other higher-visibility stuff is a matter of how much you wanna go "Uncle Hi-Vis" I didn't consider it a must-have since I found that drivers...

Need help to stop farkle mania :)

I stop the itch by asking my self 1) Do i need this or do i want this 2) How does help me enjoy riding more? 3) Value vs cost That thinking has limited my farkling to: -new seats -A big trunk -Power distribution and some exra sockets (2 DIN and one coax) -Sliders -Highway pegs -FOBO...

    Calling adventure bike owners

I got a S10 and now kind of wished i went lighter with a F800 or something to that effect. I still use the FJR for LD touring because it is smooth and comfy, but the S10 is now used primarily for adv-commuting to work. Not having many trail roads in IL contributes heavily to the Tenere not...

    OUCH.

That was my main gripe with the seat (and I said so on their order app), the firmness was actually pretty well-done for stocker. I tried by putting the Shadow (or whatever) replacement short bumpers in the back but still slid forward so I'm gonna return them to the original bumpers. I know Seth...

    GPS Tablet

Just picked up a lightly used 2013 Nexus 7 for $80 through craigslist. I must say I really like the size. Perfect for reading, browsing, light games, and for a big GPS. I have a garmin at home but I really I like the extra functionality of the tablet (with the 32gb version I can keep all my...
