    Turn & Hazard fuse failure

Will do. Thanks for your thoughts. I'll post the results here.

    Turn & Hazard fuse failure

That seems logical, although many here have soldered that spider, apparently without complications. However, perhaps mine, being an AE, makes a difference. I'll try reversing the soldered spider and see what happens. Stay tuned.

    Turn & Hazard fuse failure

Would soldering spider #6 together affect the turn/hazard signals on a 2006AE? I did this as suggested on this forum. I got so discouraged with the fuse blowing problem that I shoved the bike into a corner and forgot about it until now.

    Turn & Hazard fuse failure

Thanks again. I'll try to get to it this weekend.

    Turn & Hazard fuse failure

I've already done all that. The bike is completely naked.

    Turn & Hazard fuse failure

This is great. The fuse still blows with the rears disconnected, so I'm sure the problem is in the front. I'll check it out further. It's got to be something! Thanks.

    Turn & Hazard fuse failure

Plastic and signals already removed. Thanks anyway.

    Turn & Hazard fuse failure

The local shop doesn't have room for my bike until next week, so I'll have time to try it. Thanks.

    Turn & Hazard fuse failure

I've decided to finally take it to a shop. I'll post what they find.

    Turn & Hazard fuse failure

Update: I discovered an unplugged connection that accounted for the gauge, starter and horn not working. However, the turn and hazard signal blowing the 10 amp fuse remains. That is the extent of the problem at this point.

    Turn & Hazard fuse failure

All the plastic is off. Everything looks normal. No rodents. This problem began last summer. I thought I'd try the Forum on more time before reluctantly taking it to a shop. Thanks for your input.

    Turn & Hazard fuse failure

Hello everyone, I got frustrated and set the FJR aside. Took a European vacation and am just now getting back to the FJR. I installed a new battery but still have the fuse blowing problem. Apparently not self healing. LOL. However, this time in addition to blowing the turn signal fuse, the...

    Turn & Hazard fuse failure

I followed the harnesses from both switches and unplugged the downstream connectors they led to, one at a time. They are located in a batch of wiring by the storage box and S6 spider. I tried the switches and the fuse did not blow. Plugged the connectors back together, one at a time, and the...

    Turn & Hazard fuse failure

Once again, thanks for the advice. I used a paper clip just long enough to instantaneously try the hazard or turn signal switch, then immediately turn the ignition off. Admittedly a bad idea. Thanks for the reminder. I won't repeat it. I have no extra farkles except for highway blaster horns and...

    Turn & Hazard fuse failure

I bridged the turn signal fuse slot with a paper clip and measured DC volts at the turn signal and relay connections. The reading is 11.89 volts at all connections when either the hazard or turn signal switches are operated with the ignition switch on. Is this of significance? How do I go about...
