    New Minivan Buying Questions

I bought a car a few months ago and used the Edmunds site quite a bit. For starters, it gives you a reasonable idea of what's available for your particular make/model. You can also peruse user comments (which are probably higher than they ought to be considering most folks are pretty excited...

Another piece of the MotoGP puzzle soon to be filled in

I am a new-ish fan to MotoGP, but am really into this season (despite the many runaway victories). Can't wait for the first race next year - lots of changes to spice things up. Also, I really enjoyed the race this weekend at Aragon. Spies and Dovi going at it was fantastic (despite the lack...

    Death Valley April 17-18

I was there April 9th and 10th. The road to Scotty's was indeed the one with the most construction. What wasn't newly asphalted, was down to one lane. In some stretches the entire road was torn out, we were escorted via the underlying dirt roads.

    Scorpion RLink

I have a special gift for killing threads, so I don't think my post the other day got much attention. So I'm giving this product it's own topic as I'm curious if anyone has any experience with it. rLINK website They've recently begun advertising this thing in the moto rags - that's where I...

Tracking Tools and Emergency Location Options

I noticed this in one of the recent motorcycle rags. I don't recall seeing an ad for it before. I also did a google search for this forum and didn't have anything come up. Maybe it really is that new. Anyhoo, the website below seems intriguing. Although it apparently has some capability to...

Q: What's the highest mountain in the lower 48?

JB - Did you feel that altitude sickness was ever an issue for you? Also, it looks like both you and Hans are wearing traditional mountaineering boots (tall, thick heavy lug, etc). Considering your black and blue toes, would you recommend a different type of footwear? Something along the...

    Who uses a Mac?

isn't that what boot camp or Parallels software is for? I bought an iMac a few months ago after a few days of pc-related viruses ruined my life. I've been really happy with it. Most stuff is pretty intuitive, assuming you can program a vcr or make your microwave cook on reduced power. I use...

    Exomesh

On my last trip I made my own security cable for my motofizz. Bought some plastic sheathed cable from home depot, and made hoops at each end (with a ferrule kit [you'll see it at Home Depot]). When stopping somewhere and I want to "secure" the motofizz, I weave my new cable through various...

I was multitasking at the time. Thanks for the info. Oh, and for the record, I'll take either 80s version of Kim Wilde or the chick from Berlin. Kthx.

side cowls in open position makes us cooler or warmer

For bestest cooling, keep them closed. Then ride with your legs bowed out like you're working out on one of those gym machines that only the chicks use. With these faired bikes, that's the only way to get cool air to the legs and groin. With my mesh overpants I can really tell the difference...

Bug stains?! Surely, this can’t be.

My '08 black has had the same problem. I only noticed it on the front fairing, between the headlights and the windshield. I ended up using cleaner wax and polish and a helluva lot of rubbing to get them all out. For my next long trip, I won't be letting the little guys sit there like I did...
