Dave makes a good point, but it depends on how often you take day-long rides At 5'6" with a 29" inseam, it works well for me re: touching down with both feet. Mine has the blue piping and a couple of small tears in the leather, but a local upholstery shop should be able to replace the piping...

Looks like they spent some effort on air flow for the rider. An adjustable middle fairing and the windshield is closer to the rider. Relocated (lower ?) passenger pegs. Seems there is a lot to like. Tim

I was with Progressive for several years (no accidents, no claims). When I added the '05 FJR, I was quoted >$2000.00 per year. I ended up with Dairyland coming in a little over $500.00, but several other companies beat Progressive's rates.

I was curious about those cases, too. I sent an inquiry and *never* received a response. Regardless of feedback score, they won't be getting any of my $$$.

Given your parameters, you might try a BMW (motorcycle) radio. They have a remote control for volume, station seek, etc. They are typically mounted in the fairing with a lockable access door. They use a standard automotive style antenna plug. You will probably end up making your own wiring...

Some manufacturers make accomodations on their sport-tourers for a radio, but I don't know where you'd mount one on the FJR. Speaking from my experience owning a BMW sport-tourer with a radio, they are pretty much worthless at Interstate speeds, especially while wearing a 3/4 or full-face...
