I admire your sense of adventure wild man Gary but I think for the hills of Vermont and the crappy roads of New England I'll stick with a good old PR2 or 3. Just my own personal choice although I would like to get that kind of milage out of a tire.
Be careful about bouncing the bottom of the fairing off from the ramp. I hit mine on a really small curb coming down off it and cracked it. Tried getting it fixed once and it didn't hold and way expensive for a replacement. Funning thing was I just barely hit the thing and that was all it took...
I have the 05 and have had only one major problem with it and that is the dreaded ticker in the motor. If it is a ticker and you hear it run which I would assume you would do you will no it right away. Yamaha fixed mine when it had 14k on it and no problems since. The Gen 1 bikes IMHO have a...
I have a friend that just bought a 2009 Feej. He had a beemer but everytime we rode he wanted to switch and ride mine so he finally got his own. Long story short I loft the front end on mine all the time so when we switched so I could try his new one he wanted me to wheelie it to see if in fact...
I have 35k on the bike and I stand on it pretty regular, buy standing I mean I have a pretty heavy throttle hand and I've never been able to get over the wheelie thrill since my days in the dirt. I did not take the old shock and sping apart yet to see just how bad it was but I can feel a hugh...
Can anyone tell me how to adjust the headlight on my 05. I have turned the knurled nob inside the fairing by the left fork every which way but loose and it doesn't seem to make any difference. When I put the Penske shock on it lifted the backend enough to put my headlight off.
That I believe is exactly what is going on with my grips Ed. I will try your method and hope that it helps. If that doen't work then I am going to trim back the end of the grip a little.
Thanks for the help people. :clapping:
If there is I can't see it, I have never had a problem like this either. I spoke with the local shop and they said sometimes they have had to trim the end of the grip. Need to keep looking before I take that step, no coming back from that.
I bought a penske 8983 rear shock from GPSuspension and installed it the other day. The overall job was really simple. The one I bought has a remote resevoir and it was a bit of a squeeze getting the hose and resevoir up through the frame but that was really the toughest part. Took me a few...
Having a bit of a time with a set of throttlemiesters on my 05 feej. They don't seem to fit very well, seems to me like the end of the grips have to be trimmed off some to get enough room. I do have Yammy installed heated grips. Have any of you people run into this problem and have the answer. I...
