Two 1st Gen's for sale - northern MN

Well.... not much interest for either of these locally or here so dropping the price again: $2k for either of these beauties! Your choice now. I, personally, would go with the '05 as it's got more stuff. I'd be willing to trade for a smaller (125 to 250) dual sport in decent condition.

    FJR logo cedar scrollsaw project

mmmmm - cedar smell ! :) Since the weather hasn't been too favorable, I've been messing around with the scroll saw. This took about an hour and a half to cut. I'm not sure how much something like this is worth (especially to locals) but I'm hoping someone on this forum might be interested...

Two 1st Gen's for sale - northern MN

Lowering the price again for you. Now you can almost justify (to the spouse) having one of these as a backup bike. Or, how about a great running parts bike?! :)

    Midwest Road Trip Suggestions?

I know this is really late but if your trip either way goes through Duluth, you are more than welcome to stay the night or two at my house. I am about 18 miles south of the Aerostich building just off I35. I could help with oil and tires if really needed also. We have a fairly nice guest room...

Two 1st Gen's for sale - northern MN

The '05 was a transmission issue at about 60K on odo. Found a CrashedToys motor (which is fairly close to me) and swapped that one in. This was actually a couple years before the '04 swap. I only picked up the '04 because I was without a bike for too long. So, after swap, this bike has about...

Two 1st Gen's for sale - northern MN

I just listed both my '04 and my '05 for sale on CL. 2004 FJR - $2750 (37,600 miles) 2005 FJR - $2200 (82,600 miles) I suppose, if the situation called for it, I could put up a long distance folk for a night (in my house) if he planned on riding home with one or the other of these...

well, not really :( All of my other lights work great (even the flashers). It's only the running lights. Brakes, signals, flashers, dash, all working normally.

1st gen ('04) running lights not working

I've been through every fuse and checked every bulb. Bike starts and runs great and all other lights work great. I've taken all accessory wires off (disconnected from battery). Can't get any running lights. Any other ideas? I've already thought about running a new set of wires to each bulb...

    SOLD

I will vouch for this comment about the motor swap: I've done two now ('04 and '05) and it is not that hard, looking back on them... just need some type of hoist.

    2004 FJR - northern MN

I just saw this - don't know the seller. Some of you old-schoolers may still be into these antiques with 11K miles. :) Can you imagine? Maybe 700 miles per year! https://duluth.craigslist.org/mcy/6116883200.html

    The ONE Picture Ride Report

Keepin' the thread alive .... Been a few years since the big trip north and got the itch again - and got the okay from the wife - so with no definite route in mind, I headed east (starting in Duluth) over Lake Superior and proceeded as far as Quebec City. Then, I headed southeast a bit, crossed...

1st Gen tupperware pieces - cleaning the garage

Yikes! I had no idea this vintage plastic had such high demand. I should have said $100 each piece! (kidding) Anyway, BlacknWhite23 was the first response (about 4 minutes or so). Sorry, you other folks. On the bright side, I might be actually selling my complete '05 next spring for a...

1st Gen tupperware pieces - cleaning the garage

Cleaning the garage - these are getting dusty - was going to toss them - cover postage and they can be yours! These were originally from Derek's IBR crash bike - I salvaged them just in case. Maybe you could frame these and hang them on your wall? Conversation pieces? Oh yeah, I still have...

1st Gen front seat only - free plus shipping

Cleaning the garage ... I was going to toss this in the dumpster but someone may have a use for it. It's the actual seat sat on by Derek D. from his '05 that he totalled a few years back in the IB. Own a piece of history and keep this out of the landfill. It's actually in really nice...
