I have a starcom unit and have had no trouble with it but I have a buddy that wants to be able to discuss stops when we are riding together... Not sure I want the trouble of the batteries and pairing... I enjoy the "quiet" of the ride sometimes.

I have the Velcro attached version and I finished a ride to find one had been cracked into 2 pieces by something heavy. I am sure it saved me $400 for a replacement headlight assembly. Found another set to replace the broken one on here and attached them. Would recommend them whole heartedly!

So you only replaced one or both? I was primarily worried about the heat from the resistor as well.

Isn't it a Starcom analogue intercom? Look on the other side... Dials are for setting the levels on the difference inputs and outputs. Not worth buying all the special cables.
