Thanks for the input. The USA is so big, just don't know whether to go N,S,E or W. With three weeks I will be a bit limited. The important thing is to travel out of your peak vacation seasons and I hate the rain, so perhaps where it is a dryish climate and not flat nor too many monotonous roads...

My clutch just gone on 12500 miles and I don't believe I have hammered the bike either....

Have downloaded a manual and will give it a bash, have put a couple bikes back together, will check the price out here tomorrow and might have to look at bringing one in. Just seems a bit soft to have lost the clutch like that. Could there perhaps be a problem with the clutch release cylinder...

slipping the following day on way home through all the gears!!!

Is it a relatively easy task to change my clutch which has begun slipping. Is there an adjustment or a burnt clutch. Happened while climbing a very steep incline of half a mile which was rather slippery.
