Not sure of the dot color. Forgot to mention that I had it replaced when valves where checked at 30,000 miles. Engine swap is not my thing. Always said when this bike was dead I would never own another. But was planning on this one for another 5 years.

2009 63000 miles Sudden sound of marbles in engine at low speed/rpm. Zero warning. Took out valves/piston, timing chain, cam and crank teeth.

63,000'ish miles. CCT failure. Needs motor work or different motor. Small dent in gas tank. Small scuff front right plastic. Everything else on bike is good. Was riding (last week) when it failed. Located SE Ohio.

Bulbs can be changed from the top without removing anything. I'm a big guy (6'5" 300lb 2xl gloves) with big hands and can do it.

Man that sucks. For some reason I thought the 09's had the green dot from factory. When I had valves checked I told the dealer to check my tensioner and replace it if blue. My bike is an 09. He said mine was okay, no replacement needed. Hope it all works out for ya.

Fun this thread going now. I have used Purolator Pure One filters for yrs. Changed oil about a month ago. All good until 2 days ago. Went to get on bike and she was bleeding all over the floor. Filter started to leave. Checked for tightness. And it was. Thru another filter on and it seems good to go

If battery is needed I would recommend a Yuasa. I have had the best luck with them than any other. Of course they usually more expensive but over the life of the battery it's something I willing to pay.
