"Topped off the battery" meaning I put it on the charger. It was at 89% and just ran it on the charger until it was 100%. I.E. topped it off.

With all the things I looked at, the only thing I found was the positive lead on my battery was kinda corroded. All the fuzes look like new and so does the wire harness. Topped off the battery, nice clean terminals; bike runs better than a new one!! What a difference some clean contact points...

Pulled the side pannels and the tank to look for anything bad. You know, a recessed pin or a wire pulled out of place. Any chafing or shorting wires. something routed wrong so it would pinch or break. Nothing I could find. I checked all of the diagnostic codes; nothing out of whack.... Are...

Just got off the phone with local dealer; All recall work is showing C/W. So now, probably pull the tank and give the wireharness a good look-over? Check grounds and connections.....

Hi guys. I bought my bike (2008 FJR, normal clutch) used and would like to know if there is a way to check and see if any recall's had been acomplished. Can I just call a dealer and run the VIN, or is there a site you guys know that I could check with???

As this mods says, you would write down your stock settings, then make the changes. If warranty work was in order, you could easily move the wire back AFTER putting the settings back to stock. It helped my bike A LOT!! Give it a shot, its free, its easy, and you could very easily change it...
