I have an 07 and it clunks also. I found if I apply the rear first, just slightly, the front does not clunk. Don't know why it clunks but I've developed the rear first habit so don't even notice anything anymore. I'm sure there is a technical answer out there somewhere.

Installed the sleeve and the problem is solved. Went to Park City and back, checked the torque and it is dead on. No loosening/compressing of the Delrin slider.

Made it back. Straight through from Park City to Hermosa Beach. It was 113 degress in dessert and some bad traffic. The absolute hottest I've ever experienced. Fairlaner had a bad tire and we were all worried it would let go somewhere along the way. Fortunately, no problem.
