Sold my BMW, cash burning a hole in my pocket

We sold our FJR & K1200 Bee-Emm-Ww and have both 07 Moto Guzzi Norge which I have come to love way more than I ever felt about the FJR that my S/O put more than 20K miles on. We have a Dual Sport V-Strom 1000 & MG Norge GT1200 which is the best of both worlds... Always on the lookout for...

05 FJR & 07 Moto Guzzi Norge comparison

The Bags are very spacious and larger then the FJR's.. They attach the same way and the bike looks great without them on. Opening the bags is a little different as they unlock from the top but there is an additional clip to undo at the rear. Can't vouch for being water proof yet... *The...

05 FJR & 07 Moto Guzzi Norge comparison

There are no " perfect " bikes... That I know after 37+ years of riding without pause.. Of course the BMW & HD crowd does not see it that way and refuse to see the shortcomings in their chosen brand or anything for sale outside of it... OOps better stop generalizing here.. I know my HD buddies...

05 FJR & 07 Moto Guzzi Norge comparison

Mine is a Red 07..... No Need to take off Plastic to check oil any longer... There is a dip stick that is easily accessed via a hole in the lower fairing. Certainly not as simple as looking at the oil window on the FJR...but it is not a problem Anyone can purchase the VDST software for $200...

05 FJR & 07 Moto Guzzi Norge comparison

Greetings, Have not been here for awhile and thought I would check in. Sold the FJR and was looking for an 08+ newer ABS FJR replacement. A friend of mine purchased a new 2008 MG Norge 1200 and offered to let me ride it. I was in lust with only one ride and consequently purchased a RED...

Trade my FJR for a BMW R1200RT?

The RT is a lightweight PIG... soft engine, lousy reliability and expensive to maintain and fix when it will go south on you. It is not if you will have an expensive final drive or clutch failure, but when ! Signed, EX BMW owner

135 lb. female on an FJR?

My S/O is a Mature female and rides the wheels off our 05 FJR both at track days and outriding most guys on on the street... She can comfortably touch ground and has never dropped the bike while being a small average sizied woman. She has led a BMW MC group back from Mt. St Helens in 07 back...

    Convince Me

Anyone that demands "Convince me" is very suspect and troll like. It's a battle that can't be won and is not worth entering into. *We all must make our own decisions based on what is known.

    Review of 2008 Harley Ultra-Classic

I have had 7 HD baggers and loved them all, but once I discovered the DL1000 V-Strom and our FJR1300 that was all she wrote. Yes, the HD Chromed Riding Lawn Mower is pretty and comfy but it is like having a Trophy Wife with no gentials. All show and no go. I got pissed off once and for all...

    FJR vs Vstrom

I agree with everything ToyNut has said... I also have both an 05 FJR and DL1000 VStrom. The Vstrom is more comfortable and I can stretch out on that versus get onto the FJR... The FJ is *FAST* and smooth.... Hard to decide If I could only have 1.... Probably the VSTROM 1000 :) It Just...

FJR 1300 Comparison To Sports Bikes

*AN FJR is way more costly than a simple chain drive UJM 600/1000 CC bike... Used sport bikes are a dime a dozen out there compared to the number of FJR's ....

Taking a trip out to Dry Falls

Thanks for the Pics!! That's a ride we need to do ourselves.... (Moved from Seattle to Eastern WA) Truthfully there are so many good roads here on the east side here we just have not made it to Dry Falls yet....It's on the list! We have both an FJR and DL1000 VStrom

    V-Strom 1000 Question

We have both an 05 FJR and the DL1000. The DL lets me stretch out easier than on the FJR by a wide margin and lots more leg room on the VStrom.

    Had to lay her down....

Typical Cruiser rider response. The law of natural selection will take care of you, looks like sooner or later with your attitude.

    Had to lay her down....

So you are saying that you are not skilled enough to USE YOUR BRAKES adequately. Sounds like you need alot of braking practice along with some counter steering or swerving practice. As an MSF Instructor and one who has ridden on the streets daily for 35 years and NEVER LAID it down I cringe...
