Tranny (shifter) bokerforked (Found: star cam broke off the shift drum!)

Congrats on a job well done! Hopefully I never have to refer to this post for my own tear down, but nice to see it can be done with success.

Documentary about the Dunlop family, Isle of Man TT *Trailer*

I watched Joey Dunlop tackle the TT as a kid. I'm still as fascinated by it now as I was then. Getting there to see it first hand will always be part of my bucket list. This movie will be released Oct 14 in the UK/Europe. Not sure how to get in state side.

    Texas Hill Country 2014

Great ride report. Thanks for sharing. I'm in Fort Worth and haven't made my way down to the three sisters yet. A must before I move to Pensacola in December.

Idaho Moto Cop Blitzes Another Biker

I'm not talking about after he was on the move with lights, I'm talking about when super cop was sitting under the bridge on the shoulder. You should move over for emergency vehicle pulled over and in some states it is the law.

Idaho Moto Cop Blitzes Another Biker

The real culprit is that stupid Subaru left lane hog. If that moron subaru driver had reserved the LH lane for passing as you're supposed to then the motor officer would have had the space to make an appropriate pass in the LH lane. I think more left lane drivers need to get tickets. They pose...

    Perplexing electrical problem

Okay thanks, I figured it was along those lines of basic terminology. My first start of the day seems slower, and once the bike is warm it starts just fine

    Perplexing electrical problem

Thanks Ken, good info there. I've never heard the term "crook battery". Does that mean it is not charging? Or taking too much current to charge?

    Perplexing electrical problem

Thanks all for the excellent info and suggestions. My ignition switch has the yellow sleeve. Checked strain relief on all wiring, no problems there. Like ionbeam stated trip meters didn't zero out so battery power wasn't lost from the cluster. Bike definitely felt like ignition power was...

    Perplexing electrical problem

A new battery would be a good idea, but has anyone had an old battery exhibit similar symptoms? Thanks Bluesman, my terminals were tight, but I'll make sure the rubber boot isn't pinched and report back

    Perplexing electrical problem

On a few random occasions within the last 3000 miles my 47K '08 has exhibited some confidence rattling electrical issues. On two occasions the bike was warmed up and otherwise running fine. When going to start bike again no starter, dash lights flash, gauges sweep. Cycle ignition and starts...

Nothing Earth-Shattering, Just Another Way to Add Farkles

Nice set up, the cyclometer is a good idea, I always use the GPS for my speed

    I screwed up...!

It's funny that even looking at the new 2014 ES doesn't want me to part with my '08 Feejer. I'm very attached to it...like an old pair of comfortable shoes, but it was an easy decision trading in the street glide for it 6 years ago. I admit looking at new HDs stirs up that feeling that got me...

    Yellowstone in November

Nice RR, reminds me of the time I caught myself like a moron going over Donner's pass in a blizzard. FJR handles snow well if your smooth and have luck on your side. Too bad you have to park her for the winter Steve

I have McCruise, if I had to do it over Id get the audiovox from murphs kits. Less expensive and works the same or better

    Hit and Run

Happy to see you stopped in time, good luck in a system that protects criminals more than the victims. I think the only true way to get justice these days is "Clint Eastwood" style
