That's a good route Panman, you'll enjoy the Klickitate route and then the Clackamas route to Detroit is really a good ride. I think you will enjoy it. I'm going to be leaving Oregon City and head through Silverton to 22 then onto Sisters and La Pine

I pulled my tank off my 07 to do the throttle spring unwind. I figured that while the tank was off that I would pull the fuel pump/float assembly out and check the filter screen. I just added a OEM top box on my 07 and that is exactly how I tightened mine as well. I used blue Locktite.

I was looking for the box mounting plate. I found one on E-Bay and have mounted the top box. Now just waiting for the locks from the Yamaha dealer. But thanks for still thinking of me.

Found a new OEM Yamaha top trunk on E-Bay for my 07 Black Cherry. Now I need to find a a mounting bracket.

Thanks for taking care of that Ray, I now have a room for Fri-Sat leaving on Sunday. Looking forward to meeting all of you. Plus will give me a chance to visit my mom at my sisters place in LaPine.

Hope so Ray would love meeting up with all you guys. I know there are some excellent rides out of there. The loop around the high lakes on Centry Drive is good. The Lava fields out of Sisters is another and then there is Smith Rocks all of which I'm sure Ray knows very well and many others.

Just rode the route from Estacada to Deteoit yesterday and it's open no issues. It's a fun ride but still my favorite part is of course Estacada to Ripplebrook. There's been several motorcycle crashes up there this year mainly riders not negotiating corners from to much speed. When in Detroit...
