It was an awesome day. More awesome than I hoped for. The ride from NC to the event was rainy enough to be a challenge for me. I have never taken a long ride in the rain. I survived intact on the oldest FJR to show up. On the way home, the FJR temperature readout was dead and the yellow light...

M3 implies the thread pitch for me. Even when there are more than one threads per unit length for a given diameter, there is usually one that is more often encountered. If in doubt, I buy some of all available. Hardware is cheap compared to the value of the bike and what a dealer charges.

Thank you for the exact thread pitch and length. Where did you get the specs? I have looked but did not find a cross reference.

2003 Gen 1 FJR I need to replace one of the screws that hold the knob for adjusting front fork damping. The screws have been on back order last year and this year. Does anyone know the metric thread pitch and screw length so that I can just order some screws from FleaBay or from McMaster...

Thanks. I will get those items on order. My guess is that the tensioner is stock. Is there a better one than stock? I acquired this bike with zero service history. I look forward to the wrench session.

Hi Intech I live near Greensboro NC. It looks like a 4+ ride from where I live to your place. Would it be acceptable to drive up the day before and I stay overnight somewhere nearby? The idea would be to allow the bike to cool off overnight. My bike is a 2003. I have a shim kit.
