I don't know really what to think about it. I mean I get that if we are "lucky"(?) the body takes a crap on us before mind and that inside every 100 years old sits a teenager thinking "WTF happened?" but I'm also a bit with @08FJR4ME on this. A smaller bike, maybe avoiding riding alone in remote...

Sidi Adventure 2 Gore-Tex ~ $350 delivered, I bought mine out there and have made more purchases from this store, never any issues.
For navigation maps.me, for music pandora, for phone "do-not-call list". I should get to and find a good way to manage everything with voice commands but there's always something else to do or I'm just getting too lazy to get around it...
As much as I like Klim and 1pc Roadcrafters I also feel disappointed by the looks of the new suit. It doesn't seem half as bombproof as my Badlands/Adv Rally combo, it seems to be more in line with Latitude series and at this price it should be far above it. I hope it's just pictures not making...
I think you answer to yourself here, go Klim. Other Goretex gear if you can't find good fit. Jacket will match (ish) your pants.
I've had in the past other brands, nothing lasts like solid Goretex. Other fabrics will fail in 3-5 years (or less) depending on how much you use them. Goretex will...
Nope, on a bike where wrists are below elbows in riding position gauntlets inside sleeves. At least that's my PNW experience. No need for duct tape or other inventions.
BMW GS Dry gloves. Just right length, just right insulation (with heated grips), GORE-TEX X-TRAFIT so no loose layers in between shell and liner, very decent protection. Didn't fail me yet and are my to go gloves whenever it is below 65 degrees.
Almost a year ago I was hoping to put these on but permanent delays in delivery made me go PR4 GT instead. Now again I'm looking to replace my front (just front for the moment) and I'm curious if anybody has any experience with these so far? How is their first hand performance, life range, wear...
- Yes, moreover it will also show in your motorcycle history if someone bothers to run a carfax, you won't be able to claim "never seen the rain" etc. It may also be a reason for rebuild/salvage title.
- depending on your current record
- usually for a year to two but that, and how much...
I'm for Klim as well. I have Badlands Pro jacket and Adventure pants. Had try various gear begore mostly FirstGear and Tourmaster. They work great while new-ish and you're not trying to ride 5h in the rain. Klim has not failed me yet and I'm riding daily in the Pacific North Wet.
Interesting boot. Adventure but low - sounds like a nice compromise. BTW I found them for $183 delivered HERE - I got few things from there and never had an issue.
Nice review. Can't wait to get my front in HWT, I was told I'd get it early May. Right when it stops to rain around :-D Unfortunately my PR3 is already overdue for an exchange.
Kidney belt built into jacket works just same fine if not better, it also helps to keep your torso separated and insulated from the outside air, help to carry the weight of the jacket if it's a heavier one.
All the adjustments are there to make sure your jacket remains in place no matter what...
Like El Toro Joe I have Klim Badlands Pro and I have no regrets. There was a new model out of Badlands last year and the old one (like mine, still awesome) can be fetched for about $500 with a bit of patience. Badlands Pro is the old one, Badlands is the new one. Goretex shell and good...
I'd say you most likely WANT to wear TRUE motorcycle boots. Your feet skin will be protected just the same in most of the over the ankle boots. Wearing some sort of construction boots will add a decent toe protection and sole that may not slip with the least of sand or gravel on the road. True...
