Average FJR Guy demographic: Part I

Was just wondering what an average FJr guy be like. We can deny it or accept it but there is always a "type" of person who will "gel" with a particular type of bike. Its not just the type of ride but some other factors also play a role i guess. starting from basic stuff lie age etc. Thought i will just start a poll. Answers are hidden

can do only few questions at a time and wanted to keep it simple hence the choices had to be squeezed into tight groups.

what do you guys think its going to be ? Above 30 veteran rider who loves his FJr to death right hahaha yea fan forum polls are always going to be biased. but still will see.

In all sincerity I am not really sure what the OP is hoping to accomplish. As he said it is winter and what the hell else do us northerners have to do? Just attend an event and it easy to see we are mostly over 50, having been riding for many years and have owned our FJR's for quite a while or or now on our second FJR. Better yet just read a few ride reports - the photos are quite telling!

Anyway I voted and I hope my vote helps clarify the demographics. Lord let winter end soon!

To be completely honest, from the meets that I've been to, it is a very widely ranging demographic. All different ages, professions, hobbies, etc.

I guess the only thing that is really across the board consistent is that we're all highly intelligent and good looking.

The only thing I would add is FJR riders tend to ride a lot more than your typical rider...over 10,000 miles a year.We also put a lot more miles on our FJRs,100,000 miles is not a big deal on a FJR,200,000 and your doing something.

Dream of being independently wealthy but content to spell independently without the aid of spell check

Only around 8000 miles a year (less this year due to stuff);

IQ merely 134;

Couldn't be bothered to wait in the queue to become a professional server - the sun was shining, better things to do.

Might be interesting to see how many are more sport oriented versus touring oriented...maybe those who average less than 6,000 miles on a back tire versus over 10,000....yep, it's winter here-eight below zero this morning....ff

Back on track, I voted 'love it to death' because that is close to how I feel, but I'm really half way between that and 'just another bike'. I am actually shopping for something else right now. If I didn't already have an FJR it would be on my short list, but I also like the Africa Twin and would probably buy that if I could only have one bike.

When I bought my FJR in 2005 it was the perfect bike for my needs, and then some, but my needs have changed.
