Fjrbandit & Fjrbritbob are on-tour May 22 through to May 31, Dixie Shunpikin takes in NOLA, Vicksburg MS, Ozarks AR, Eminence MO, Nashville TN and back to Birmingham sweet home Alabama!
Fjrbritbob on bandits FJR, bandit on own V-Strom 1000 - brief itinerary:
May 22: Birmingham - Selma - rural Alabama to Hattiesburg MS - IS 59 to NOLA. Hurricanes in Pat O'Brien's Piano Bar then Rush R40 Concert followed by blues / jazz in Frenchman St.
May 23: IS 10 then 'River Road' 61 north to Natches Trace, Fisher Ferry Road to Vicksburg MS - civil war battle-field site followed by sipping Mint Julips overlooking the Mississippi!
May 24: North on 61, Blues Museum Leland MS, then north-west thro Malvern AR to Hot Springs AR for lunch at Ohio Club. Scenic AR 7 north to the Hub for 3 nights.
May 25 & 26: All points Ozarks - 123, 74, 23, 215 and over state line - 2 days of joyous riding, taking in Oark General Store & Café, Lost Valley, Alum Cove, Beaver Park, Ye Ole English Pub and whatever else comes along!
May 27: North on AR 7, 14, 125 - Bull Shoals Ferry into MO, east on 160 via Cookies in Theodosia, north on MO 19 to Eminence MO. Float in river and a few well earned beers!
May 28: Maybe Mark Twain NF to St Louis for Dews Frozen Custard and return via River Road or just lazy cruise thro forest followed by canoe race on the river!
May 29: East on 43 to Cape Girardeau, then Cairo and Paducah to see river confluences - Mississippi / Ohio and Tennessee. Then southeast thro Land between Lakes (Woodlands Trace), then TN 19 and 12 into Nashville TN. Country music capitol of the world - so lets sample some!
May 30: Short cruise down Natches Trace (after fat-boy's breakfast in the Loveless café) and back into Nashville for ball game - Nashville Sounds V Las Vegas 51 - hot dogs & beer, then catch a band or just chill over another ice cold one.
May 31: Last day of Dixie Shunpikin takes us to Lynchburg TN for Jack Daniels Distillery tour, some great rural roads to Athens AL for Whitts BBQ, then IS south to Birmingham for celebratory end of tour dinner and drinks.
Turk and Bob wish as many of you can join us either out on the road or just chewing the fat over a beer. Ride report will follow once we have recovered!!
