After I left the lunch stop at Pine Mountain, I rode to Lockwood Valley by myself. (Didn't you all love that stretch of road from the lunch stop to Lockwood Valley? (Perfect camber for most of the turns back and forth smooooth road). I took Lockwood Valley (still that stupid patch of gravel Richard, been that way for years have no idea why??) to the 33 and stopped at the DEER LODGE for a break before OJAI.....went through OJAI to SANTA PAULA and took the 126 to the 5 South and 210 to 57 to 10 to 15 South and home about 7:30 Saturday night. Total of 665 miles round trip for me in about 13 hours of riding total....Man, should have made it an IRON BUTT.....never did one before. Those of you who never rode Highway 33 before.......how did you like it?? Thanks Richard for putting this all together. BTW.......that was one of the nicest MOTEL 6's I've ever stayed at....CLEAN and simple was what I expected from a Motel 6...the Big Screen mounted on the wall was a plus, marble look countertops and raised porcelin sink was more stylish than I expected for a Motel 6. Gal told me it was remodeled in 2009.
