Thanks! I had a custom Russell made for my FZ1 and it was both a terrible disappointment and a waste of money. It shoved me too far forward, into the tank and on to my arms and wrists, plus the bike is harder to control. It's just too short from front to back for the driver. I sent it back twice and they simply couldn't figure out how to get the angles and dimensions right, something Corbin did, but crafted their seat out of extra-hard concrete. I pulled off the Day-Long cover, chopped out some of the foam at the back of driver's seat and that helped a little, but not enough. But inside I found springs shimmed up with 1/4" plywood! Yeah, PLYWOOD! Then at a rally at Port Jefferson, someone had a Day-Long made for his FJR and let me try it. It was exactly the same problem as my FZ1 seat, so, needless to say I didn't repeat the exercise. However, if I can go 150 miles on a seat before I have to take a break, I'm THRILLED! I'll look for your Bill Mayer. Maybe that's the seat for me..... All the best, YT
