Gen 1 Manifold Pipes are the same with the Gen 2 Manifold Pipes?

When i needed to replace the manifold pipes in my 03/abs two years ago because they had heavy dents from a pavement,i bought them from the Yamaha dealer,and just now i noticed that on the box the part number is the 5JW-14602-02-00.

This part number is for the Gen 2.

The part number for the Gen 1 is the 5JW-14602-11-00.

I didn't noticed any problem or differences in the installation.

MY QUESTION IS,if someone knows,or has opened one,if there are any differences inside in the catalyst or a something like that between the two part numbers??

From outside they are similar without differences and they fit perfect like the old manifold pipes.

So why the different part number?Perhaps some differences inside?

Hahahaha,every weekend i drink tons of ouzo with grilled octopus and squid,fried potatos,and tomato with cucumber,green pepper,olives,olive oil,onion and feta cheese my good friend.

Really now,do you like to send you a bottle of ouzo my US friend?

Also as i said you,i am waiting for you to come in Greece and drink together tons of ouzo!

Look at the FJR Model Comparison Matrix I point out regularly. The answer is in there.

I saw that it writes ''same'' and surely fit and they look similar but why the different part number..?Perhaps the differences are inside the catalyst..i don't know.
