BUT... this Group Gathering and Ride is on a Holiday Weekend!, rooms go fast and I have pre-arranged a group rate 15% discount! (which normally you will never get on a Holiday Weekend, at least in this cool & quaint town).

In a nutshell, same as last years event (due to popular requests). Lodging NOTE: they also own/run the old Penn Wells Hotel as well, but w no parking, old rooms etc. So don't book in the hotel building, book in the lodge using the "Top Speed Group" discount code.
So, get your reservations in early!
I have a block of rooms reserved at the Penn Wells Lodge, Sat & Sun nites. You could also add Friday night if you wish, myself however; I will follow suite from last years meet and do just Sat & Sun nights, say adios on Monday/Memorial Day. The block of secured rooms ends 4 weeks prior to May 23. Being the Holiday Wknd, the Penn Wells Lodge always sells out way in advance anyways.

When: Sat 5/23, Sun 5/24 (Memorial Day Weekend) - w Checkout Mon 5/25. (Minimum stay is 2 nights including Sun nite, you "could" add more at the same discounted rate).
Who: Anyone w 2 wheels and interested! 2up or Stag, doesn't matter. No stick-in-the-muds or troublemakers. Any loud pipes?; we just ask that they go to the rear of the ride group. Bike brand doesn't matter either, majority last year was FJR's & K16's, a couple of HD's and Kawi Connies.

Why: Group Meetup and Ride
Reservations: Call 570-724-2111 (cannot book discounted TSG rate online).
Rate: $99.95/nite booked under "Top Speed Group" (you need to mention this when making your ressie, and confirm that you are in"the Lodge" section. Credit Card secures the room only, no pre-charge authorization.
Cancellation Policy: I arranged a very generous 24 hrs prior (to check-in if booked by my group code). Normally, Holiday Weekends are 1 Week!
Accommodations: Economy Rooms (most are 2 Queen beds). Rooms open to a large (perfect) Parking lot. Great for our Social hours and Tire-Kicking sessions!. Hotel has an indoor pool, jacuzzi, gym etc. Breakfast is included (free) Monday morning but not on Sunday (upcharge) or... Wellsboro Dinner across the street and seemed to be a hot spot last year prior to the Sunday "Day Ride".
Rally/Meet Fees: None. ($0) It's very laid back, just show up, do what you want, when you want.
Food Porn: Hotel of course -or- as most of us did last year, Wellsboro has a bunch of really great pubs and restaurants right across the street from our hotel!. The town is quaint, quiet (sorta) and has all the amenities.
Happy Hour: One reason why Wellsboro got (re)selected was everything is within a block or two of walking. Our happy-hours will start in the parking lot daily around 5pm. When your hungry, just walk xcross the street! Social Hour Note: Beer & Liquor store is about a 1/2mi up the street, plan ahead and load up that topcase!, your room has a refrigerator!.

I will again have an organized group(s) ride on Sunday 5/24, split up into groups according to desired speed/pace. The planned route will be similar to last year (~250mi.), but with a couple of different twists. Plan on a whole day w photo-op stops, and of course your lunch. Ride departs/KSU @ 9am from the Penn Wells Lodge Parking lot. I will post here the .gpx route, and I will also need some group leaders to hopefully volunteer? (post here if you can lead a group). Ideally 5-6 in a group works well, a few more may work only b/c traffic is far and few between in these necks. Last year, I was sluggishly leading all 18 bikes to our 1st vista photo-op stop. I did get groups going from there, but hopefully we can have this pre-arranged this time.
