How is the subframe? Could be a bigger job than the mirror.
It is. The windshield hit my DR650 parked next to it, broke the CeeBaily 2x4 flip and torqued the bracket mechanism. Got to take the nose cowl off to investigate. I'd be nice if I can fix it without needing bracket parts depending on exactly what is out of whack.

How hard is it to get to the mirror mounting bolts on a Gen II?

not that hard, they are right behind the panels. IIRC - when I put on my mirror extenders, it's a bit tight, but right there.
BTW - the 09 mirrors would work too... both were black. Just the 09 had the faster black wheels..
