Think I am Rich. John/JREW too, looks like. Murcy sakes, a convoy?
It is official the wife time off of work, so we are a going. We are leaving Thursday after she gets off work and heading to Redding for the night. Next day we are planing on riding around Crater Lake then on to La Pine, if anyone wants to join in for all or part of the ride. If not we will see you all there.

I just heard from a guy at work that Oregon has opened up some speed limits including 97 from Klamath Falls to Bend. Should make that stretch a little less painful...

Right now I'm a maybe for the RR - may be headed to Moab for some dual sporting

Well, it sounds like the wife is out. She had a commitment on the weekend she can't get out of, so I now have extra days. I am thinking about making a shot for Canada then back to Oregon. Anyone interested?

Since they changed the speed limit hwy 97 traffic is running 70-75 between my town and Bend and I've heard it's that way most everywhere. I'm going south on Saturday so I'll see for myself.

Russ, I think you need a Reuben.

I'm going to take a day or two to get to the RR, but can't get that much off. I will be doing a straight shot home on Sunday. Maybe we could ride back together. A lot going south, so I'm sure you can team up with someone.

You could also think about Tyler's Bridgeport ride the weekend before. Not a lot of miles, but some nice riding and good company.

Riding back sounds like that might work. I promised the wife to be home on Sunday. Only thing I would like to try and get in is a ride around Crater Lake on the way home. Not a deal breaker if it doesn't happen.

After doing some research on the form it sounds like I need to bleed my rear brakes. The problem is I live in an apartment and sold my tools, so if anyone has a place where I could do the work it would be much appreciated.

One other problem is I work shift work and have Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday off.

A lot requirements when I am asking for help.

Thanks

Rich

Rich,

If you can come to San Jose, I can help. I need to do a brake fluid change on mine. Misery loves company?

Reach out to Doug/bugnatr... he's in Grass Valley and I'm betting would be able to help. ;)

I've gotta garage in Santa Rosa, w/ pneumatic bleeder, where you at Rich?

Thank you both for the offers. I am in Sacramento, so I am going to try and stay a little closer to home. If it doesn't work out I will take one of you up on your offers. Thanks again.

If you don't get it done before you leave, take the hwy 97 route and we can do it in my shop on your way up.

Rich--give me a call. I don't have a pneumatic bleeder, whatever that is, or a hell of a lot of technical know-how, but I have a flat driveway and basic tools. Didn't see this sooner or I'd have spoken up. I happen to have Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays off as well. Along with Fridays, Mondays, Sundays, and, um, the rest of them. Next week works.

edit: Have you seen the weather chart for next week?? A hundred and forty degrees every day. Let's wait for something a tiny bit cooler!

(I'll still do it, though.)

Thanks for the offer Ray, but I think I am going to be able to get it done at home before I leave.
Thanks
Rear brakes are overrated! Confession time - I spent the last 5 days of a trip in the Rockies back in '13 with Beemerdons without any rear brake at all. The only time I missed it at all was when we'd pull over onto gravel shoulders and such.

Teri and I are going.

Current intention is to leave the Saturday before, going to Caldwell, Sandpoint and Radium Hot Springs before heading up Icefields Parkway to Jasper. Then on to Nakusp. Heading back may include Glacier NP (Going to the Sun Rd.), Beartooth Hwy and Yellowstone before heading south through Stanley, ID.
