Sounds like a fun rally.....just saw this thread tonight and wondering if I can make some last minute plans to attend from South Eastern Ontario, Canada! Rode the area a few years ago on my Katana with a buddy on his FZ1 and am anxious to get in some long miles on the FJR I piicked up last Monday. Definitely thinking about making the trip :)
Hey Red,

This is Fred (not Ed). Just one of the NERDs.

It's not to late to join in until it's over. There were a couple of cancellations in the past week or two, so you may still be able to get a room at the Commodore Inn. If not, PM me and I can give you a lead on another place nearby that is not too expensive.

I'm not certain I can get down on Wednesday . . . . my daughter gets home from summer camp Thursday, though maybe I can get her mother to deal with the pickup and resulting pile of sandy laundry . . . .

I need to decide today whether to cancel or amend my reservation. Maybe I'll head down Friday and stay through Sunday instead.

That forecast doesn't look all that bad to me, Steve.

When they are talking about isolated showers and/or Thundershowers, that's a good thing. It means little pockets of rain that blow through quick. The provbabilities that they give are for the entire region, not wherever you are right there. It's when they use the "R" word that you want to look out.

And yeah, it's raining in New England today and tonight. Should move on through by Tuesday sometime Things look much better for Weds on. Which is good since that's when we'll all be there. ;)

I like this one from The Weather Channel better.

Hey, what would a trip to the NE be without a little bike wash and frog choker. Just wouldn't be right I tell ya. Doesn't make much difference to me, this is one of two trips I have planned for the year. I'll bring paddles if I have to.

Bungie is worried about the rain since the GPS he uses is actually a piece of paper with an arrow pointing to the top of the page. It looks like it was done by a 2 year old with a dull crayon. When it rains the ink on the arrow runs and then he really gets lost.

So your following me on the 6 gaps ride then?!

Thursday is lookin' like the best day for Mt Washington, they are having a bicycle race on Saturday, so it will be closed to vehicles till 1pm. Motorcycle and rider is $15 and $8 for additional person, Gate opens at 7:30am till 6pm.

Hey, remember me?

Need to blow some cobwebs out of the poor dusty bike, so looks like (once the girl calls me back so I can book) I'll be heading up on Thursday, playing around on Friday and then heading back on Saturday. Will be nice to get out there and let the bike breathe a little!

All I can say is...

Today is a very good day NOT to be having a rally in Vermont New England

Mt Washington is on my list if the weather is OK. I may follow you up there on Thursday.
