Just passed 225,000 this winter. Bike is currently in the shop for bent front & back wheels. Looking for wheels on Ebay so I can split lanes again and stop being trapped in the cager.
A new 2016 ES model in my garage is dependent on when my 2006 EA model gives up and buys the farm. Seeing the new updates will make it really hard to wait now.
I enjoyed these tires too. I got about the same mileage out of them as I did on the road smarts. I felt the angels quickened the steering. They did slip on me in the rain though. I plan on using them as my summer tires, and going to road smarts as my winter tires.
For ear protection and music I use the regular yellow ear plugs over the ear phones that came with my Galaxy phone. I use a hole punch to fit them onto the ear phones.
Congrats on the new bike. I purposely skipped the Sacramento dealership demo ride because my '06 is still alive and kicking hard. No sense teasing myself by riding something I know I will buy as soon as my current bike passes away.
Rockdude, the F4 tape was great with the fabric weave molded in. I use other stuff now because I want to keep my F4 tape for old times sake. I still have it in the metal tin!
