    Red Light Camera

A couple of things on this topice from the lovely state of Oregon. I am sort of an expert on these since I currently am going to court on the 26th of May for my fourth camera ticket in 24 months. Yes, when you drive 35K-40K miles a year in Oregon and pretty much every town now uses these things...

    Volcano Ride 2010

Ok guys, just a little FYI. A friend and I did this ride about 3 weeks ago and the road was BAD!!! Really Bad!!! I'm talking flatten the pipe's on the bottom of my buddies Ducati ST3 bad. Kidney beating, suspension testing, nut busting bumps and dips in the road. In addition, the road to Windy...

    Strange Riding Season....

I don't post on a regular basis, but always read whats the latest "going on's" in the FJR world. I don't know what it is, but this year it seems I have heard of so many crashes on and off the site. Not only involving FJR's but other riders. It seems like every weekend I hear of a motorcycle...

Does your bike get mad at you?

Here's the deal....This has happened twice now. I got back from a four day, 1600 mile ride three weeks ago. The FJR ran great the entire trip. When I arrived home, the bike went in the garage and has been sitting every since. It needed new tires, so I took them off and had the tires mounted. The...

    butt pad or seat

Prior to having a seat made for me by Rich's Custom seats in Seattle, I used a gel ped. No sheepskin. The gel ad was an improvement. However, if you are planning to ride all day I would recommend having a seat made for you. It was the best money I've ever spent on my bike. Ray

    597 Miles today!!

I actually already have a Rich's Custom that I wouldn't trade for anything. I couldn't imagine that ride without it. Even with it, just sitting in the saddle that long is tough

Do you “Hang Off” your FJR ??????

I guess I'll get in on this mix. What I find interesting is that if you read any books on expert riding, for street or track, you will quickly find that after line choice in the corner, the next most important part of the equation is body position on the bike. Starting with your head, then your...
