    Who has a Corbin seat?

Well, I would like to share some experience with the Corbin seat purchase. I started off with the stock 2011 FJR seat which is just plain torturous! So I ordered a new Sargent- they built a really cool looking seat but after sending it back twice, they could not get it to fit tight on the bike...

My Impressions of the MV Motorrad Bar Riser

I have a 2011 and it was very necessary to use the cable adapters and zip ties, otherwise it could not fit. At least that was the case for mine- I didn't want to use the adapters, but I was uncomfortable pulling on the cables. What great product though! Very happy! Does change the handling a bit.

    Burning Smell

Ya know, I have a 2011 and I've had that same leaf/ wood burning smell multiple times as well. I never have found where its coming from but so far doesn't seem to be the result of something being all jacked up??

My Impressions of the MV Motorrad Bar Riser

This part is a terrific improvement, great high quality product! I have had some difficulties with MV service though. One of the black plastic bolt covers that was sent to me was too small. I emailed MV, and they sent another - however this was not shipped like the original parcel (received in 3...

My Impressions of the MV Motorrad Bar Riser

Hey all, after research and getting the feed back on the Forum, I took the plunge and ordered the MV Riser Plate. Ordered Sat pm -it was on my work bench Thurs afternoon. I installed it on Friday and Yaaah Baby! This is a fine piece of German engineering, very nice! A little patience and a few...

    600 mile service schedule

I guess I was a little concerned about potential warranty issues- I won't do that again unless something is clearly in need of warranty repair! Lesson learned

    600 mile service schedule

How irritating! I just brought my 2011 in for the first maint schedule (600 miles). As I read the service manual and owners manual, there are adjustments to be made to the throttle body, synchronization, torque settings etc. I made sure to inform of throttle stumble at low rpm. 2 hrs later my...

    2011 electrical/ignition problem

The second gen cold start mechanism doesn't seem to raise the idle rpm quite as high as on first gen bikes. This was (probably) changed to accommodate the bikes with YCCS, where an idle of over 2000 rpm might cause the auto-clutch to engage. Because of the low cold idle speed you may notice...

    New FJR- Low throttle response

Sure do appreciate your advice you guys- the idle kick up made a great difference and as far as bringing it in- great advise re warranty, factory blunders and checking specs- all adds up to good sense having the dealer do the first 600 mile service on it Thank you Fella's! Hey Hot Rod and...
