Good on Kawasaki, a pity Yamaha didn't do a much needed upgrade on the FJR. Pretty much the same after 9 years, not good for a flagship model.

The 08 and 09 have a revised throttle cam on the throttle bodies. Other than that colour & price is the only difference. There are still brand new 06 model bikes for sale in Aust, along with 07, 08 & 09. Never were really accepted here and not too received in other places. Maybe that's why...

Firstly cylinder #3 is the one you work from. Sitting on the bike #1 is farthest left then 2, 3 & 4 If #3 is say idling at 100 then you adjust the others to match, or get as close as possible. They will never be all the exact same. Say 3 is @ 100 then when you adjust 2 #3 may climb to 150 so...

This is a 2004 non ABS Aust model, not sure if your specs will differ.

Wouldn't happen where I live, if after 3 returns the problem is still there you are entitled to a full refund or new bike/car.

No use waiting for Yamaha Shane, they aren't going to do the right thing. Make sure your insurance is paid up and go for a ride in the desert and have a "crash" and your bike may catch fire and burn up, just make sure you got some matches with you. Then avoid all Yamaha products in the future.

I made my own and they also have a steel insert. I like them without an open end.

A 4 into 1 system Fred so one Staintune. Compared to the FJR.... It's 55kg (121 LBS) lighter. Motor is smoother. Gearbox is smoother. No ABS but the same size discs, so stopping the lighter bike is easy. Handles the twisties with ease. Has a 6 speed box and gets the same mpg as the FJR...
