    Sleeping pad recommendation for camping?

I have the REI 2.5 in. self inlfating pad. It works for me, but it's only 3 season (not recommended for winter).

    Heli Riser Bridge first impressions

Ok, so I've had more time with this bar. I am really enjoying it. Like I said before, I'm on the short side, both in inseam and in arms. For you shorter guys, this is really a nice addition. The turns are a bit different, and there is some loss of sportiness, but (subjective comment)...

    Heli Riser Bridge first impressions

So, apart from (finally) changing out my brake fluids and doing another oil change, I also installed my Heli Riser Bridge! Technically, I did it last week, but due to aforementioned service items, I decided to keep it in the garage until everything got done. Heli Riser Bridge - on a 2009 FJR...

Lessons Learned for DOT4 Fluid change

For those of you, like me, who have never changed out the brake fluid, I have a few tips/notes that I learned the hard way. Most of you will probably laugh or hang your head, as these are all "Duh", things. But, to the person who has never done this before, it may be useful. So, enough with...

Interesting seat option in the near future

I wish their description was more informative. All I'm reading is that it's the same seat, with a new cover. A new cover for $808! That must be a heck of a good cover... Ok, So, the seat pan and foam has to cost something too, but seriously; the same seat with a new cover for $800. Just...

Soon to be owner seeking help

Congrats on the new ride. Also, interesting quotes from people and their insurance. For reference, I will put it out there that I have a clean record, $500 deductable, and pay about $500/yr for mine and get full coverage including uninsured motorist.

Oh snap! Please tell me I'm wrong

I had the pleasure of meeting Dana last weekend. He was telling me about this thread. I didnt realize how bad his old FJR looked. I'm glad he's ok and still riding. That must have been a heck of an afternoon.

If You Could Reinvent The FJR What Would You Change?

    - fuse block standard (where the battery is now) - better wind screen - battery relocated to under seat (lets get some weight off the front) - more watts! - less weight (but somehow, i dont think it's possible) - TPM (edit: how did I forget to include this the first time?!) - stronger...

Step 1: Remove the Headlight Knob

Did you just have to tighten it up, or did you end up replacing the mirror?

    Best Maintenance Reminder Yet!

I will, generously, grant you that one. Well done good sir.

    Best Maintenance Reminder Yet!

I dont see anything conclusive about why the car went up in flames. The only thing even remotely hinting at lack of maintenance is that someone "thought" the car was overheating. Who knows, maybe it was carelessness from whomever was performing maintenance? At least the report clearly states...

    "Glove" Box

GenII guy here. Charging my iphone in the glovebox hasnt been a problem for me. You could always do a nice farkle and add a fan if you are worried. Also, you could leave the top open as suggested above. There are other alternatives, like getting a RAM Ball and getting some sort of holster...

Impromptu Tech Day - Part Deux 4/19/14

Intech, Thanks for a great time and letting us watch you guys do the work on your FJRs! It did turn out to be a very nice day, and a great ride down away from the city for me. I even made it back home in time for dinner! Thanks again.
