There's a lot to be said for regular preventative and routine maintenance.

Here's a little reminder, that you never know where you will be when that part you neglected reaches end of life and fails !

Family's car catches fire in Longleat lion enclosure (Clicky)

Mrs Clements, from Kingswood, Gloucestershire, told the BBC: "It could have been in the flamingos or the camels but no, it had to be in the lion enclosure."

Hmm... Burned alive or eaten by lions.....

That's a tight spot.

 
I dont see anything conclusive about why the car went up in flames. The only thing even remotely hinting at lack of maintenance is that someone "thought" the car was overheating. Who knows, maybe it was carelessness from whomever was performing maintenance?

At least the report clearly states that no lions were hurt during the near roasting of humans.
