    EPM Performance Imports, Tennent, NJ.

Getting ready to replace the worn out Race Tech front springs on my '07 AE, and having recently installed a set of HyperPro's for a friend on his '07 FJR who provided very favorable feedback, I perused their website, www.epmperf.com, and decided this was the route I was going to take. Last...

Continental Road Attack 2 GT Tires

Ed, i put a set of those on in June, just before a 5,000 mile camping trip to Newfoundland. They performed very well with my bike fully loaded with camping gear, and my 200lb ass on board. Had a variety of differing conditions over the ten day trip, ranging from low 40's, rain and high gusty...

    Geico Insurance experience

I switched to Geico a few years ago as their online rates were much better for me than other companies. I did speak to a rep and declared my involvement in endurance rallies and IBA rides, and that my mileage is often upwards of 20K per year. Fortunately, have not had to check out their claims...

York, PA impromptu Tech Meet - Sunday June 8th

Sorry Dan, Kinda last minute. Randy got a set of tires delivered to my house last week, and Hoch needed some work done on the GS, so I hastily arranged everyone for Sunday and decided to open it up to anyone else interested. What do you need done and maybe we can put another one together with...

need a standard triple clamp for 06

Greg, I still have the original triple clamp, however it looks like I was not able to remove the ignition switch bolts, so they were cut. The clamp is still useable, but you would either need to drill and remove, or drill and tap the old bolts. It's yours if you want it. Pete

need a standard triple clamp for 06

Greg, I think I still have the oem triple clamp from my 2007 kicking around in my shop somewhere. Don't recall if I reused the original mounting bolts when I mounted my Helibars clamp, or if they are still around, but I will check and report back. Pete

York, PA impromptu Tech Meet - Sunday June 8th

Having a couple of guys over at my house this Sunday starting around noon to get some tires changed, and throttle body syncs done. 2 FJR's and a R1150GS BMW (which I already did the final drive on last year!). I know it's short notice, but if anyone is in the area and even wants to come over and...

    Newfoundland in June.

Thanks Dennis, We are in the final planning stages, so this is very helpful info. I did the Cabot Trail in NS a few years back, and it was awesome. Won't have time for that this year, but the boat ride sounds like a possibility, as we are aiming to spend some time around Gros Morne. Pete

    Saddleman TS1620STunnel/Tailbag (Wide)

I have the Saddleman tunnel bag, and it worked fine allowing me to carry a decent amount of gear, but not so bulky that made it difficult getting on/off the bike. If it is packed full, access to the sidebar locks can be a challenge, but it does not seem to affect the handling as much as other...

    Newfoundland in June.

Thanks NB, I will check these loops out and see what we can fit in. We are going to be slabbing it up to North Sydney to get the ferry, so want to spend as much time on the more local roads as possible. Experience has shown me that is the best way to soak up the scenery, culture, people etc. and...

    Newfoundland in June.

Thanks Roadancer. I have experienced the "bike wash ferries" in the past, and had not even given a thought to covering the bike on this trip. I do recall a lot of mozzy's on my NS trip, so will definitely be better prepared this time around. Pete

    Acceptable Riding Footwear

I recently picked up a pair of Gaerne Balance Oiled boots, which are hands down the most comfortable boots I have owned to date, both on and off the bike.. (Done the Sidi, Alpinestars, Frank Thomas etc. over the years). The Balance took very little time to break in, passed my 15 minute bathtub...

    Newfoundland in June.

Ferry crossings were booked last week. Going to bring my own tie-downs as I have heard some ferry operators have been known to use anything they can find, and may not take too much care with how they strap things down. We are hoping to see an iceberg or two, and with any luck some whales might...

Seeking Wireless Comm system w/ 3.5mm stereo jack

I was an Autocom user for many years, then moved to the Scala Rider setup, and while the bluetooth worked well, the FM sucked. I then went to the Sena SMH10, with the SR10 hub, and it all works great. Windows phone paired to a Zumo 665. Kenwood 2-way and a Streetpilot 2720 plugged into the hub...

    Frogg Toggs

I had a set of FT's purchased from my local dealer a couple of years back. They certainly did not look flattering, but did a great job at keeping me dry against the elements. Unfortunately, mine were all black, and a perfect match for the trash bag I was using on a moto-camping trip, and they...
