When do you consider it to be to hot to ride?

It's tapping out at 100 here in NJ for the rest of the week. I just can't bring myself to putting on the helmet. Thoughts???

    CAM2 Oils - High Zinc 2100 ppm

My brother drag races professionally. This oil basically comes out of his engine looking exactly the same as it went it. He wins a lot or races and claims this is the best oil he's ever used in any of his engines. I figured I'd toss this out to the forum here because of the high Zinc levels...

Front End Click or Tap over bumps

I installed the HyperPro spring set, both front and rear a few weeks ago. Great upgrade!!!! Everything was great the first 2 or 3 rides. Now I'm hearing a Click or Tap from the front end over certain bumps. Not all the time, but when it does it, you hear it. It's like the spring hitting...

Installed Hyperpro Spring Set + New Rear Shock

Just finished up the Hyperpro spring set install. I managed to score an OE rear shock from an 08. It was a take off, basically new as the owner put an aftermarket setup on upon buying the bike. I was going to put just the 08 setup on my softly sprung 03 and install a set of 04 fork springs...

    Hyperpro fork spring install help

I've got the fork caps off, spring out. The hyperpro manual says remove both springs? Where and how do I do that? Do I have to take the bottom bolt out and remove the cartridge assy?

48.6 MPG Combined Hwy and County Rds.

Went for a ride with Uncle Charlie, we did 248 miles, I used 5.1 gallons. He doesn't like to do much more then 65 or so. I lead the way out, he lead back home. It was a nice combination of county roads and highway. I've got Dale Walker slip on's with a Power Commander map loaded specific...

Heading up into NH & VT 10/7

I'm headed up into NH & VT for a few days with a buddy who just picked up an 09 Ducati Monster 1100. Our first stop will be the North Woodstock Inn in NH on Wednesday evening. That place is great and their breakfast is outstanding. We'll be riding around for a few days enjoying some great...

    Unauthorized TB sync = WOW

All I can say is WOW! :yahoo: The whole process makes complete sense in balancing the engine. The bike is butter smooth now.

Fork Prob, feels like there binding up.

2003 with 31K on the clock. I put 2004 fork springs in it a few years back as there said to be slightly stiffer. I'm always up on the fork oil maintenance. The past few oil changes I'm noticing the right fork oil is always really dirty. It's got that gray look to it. I can also feel what I...

How do you keep your helmet fresh?

I do take the interior out of my Nolan and wash it, smells nice and fresh when it's done. But what do you do to keep it smelling nice and fresh between washings? Do you wipe down the inner linings with anything? A shot of Fabreze perhaps or an air freshener in the closet you store your gear...

    Things happen in 3's...

Sunday 7/10 in NJ was supposed to be the nicer, slightly cooler day to ride. It's been in the 90's and the humidity wasn't helping things either. So myself and 3 buddies decided to meet up and spend the day riding around N.W. Jersey and then head up to Yonkers for a BBQ at my buddies house...

    Speedo & Tach face replacements

I've purchased new face plates for the speedo and tach on my 03. My question is how do you get the pointers off and back on again without messing up their calibration?

Heading to the Dragon from NJ 10/8

My buddy and I are making a quick trip down to ride the dragon and do some sight seeing for a few days. We're going to try and get down there in one day. Leave early in the AM, 822 miles later we should be at the gap. Does that qualify me for iron butt? Anybody wanna tag along?

Which is your favorite season to ride in?

We had a very hot summer here in NJ. Can't wait for the cooler weather so I can enjoy riding once again. Fall is probably my favorite time of the year to ride. Nice cool days, beautiful colorful sights makes for the perfect riding experience.

    New Headlights

Just put the Osram Night Breakers in. Not sure why everybody complains about the rubber boots, it was a piece of cake. They definately have a cleaner light in my garage. Now if this rain would stop I'll really test them out on the dark back roads up by me.

Got to dust it off today

Upper 50's today in NJ, feels like spring. Took the cover off Afast03 and dusted her off. Seems winter in NJ is starting to come to an end. :yahoo: I've spend some time the past few weeks cleaning out old software on the laptop and came across the Power Commander software, which led me to...

    Love my Pirelli's

I can't believe I've been riding for 25K miles on the garbage BT020's that came on the bike. Had the usual issues with the BT020's, front cupping and tread noise once the cupping started, but they always seemed to handle nicely. The Pirelli's have made a huge improvement in overall ride...

    Check those fender extenda's

Parkway bump +1 Fenda extenda 0 After 3 years and 25K miles of bing glued tightly in place it decided to jump ship. I think it actually went through the front fender when it came off. It shot out in front of me and of course I ran right over it. Looking in the mirrors all I saw was plastic...

    Pirelli Diablo Strada "E" code

Mods feel free to move this to it's final resting place. I'm about to order some new sneakers and am curious about the Pirelli "E" code? I'm never 2 up, don't take much load anywhere, but do like some speed now and then with the twisties. Sooo, whats the deal? Do I really need the "E" code...
