I did the Trooper Mod Sunday night. At first I just did the hole saw part and then tried it out. It was barely louder, not really noticeable. Then I got out the dremel and finished the job. Man what a difference! It sounds much better than stock! I rode it to work this morning, and I enjoyed...

I put EBC pads on the old Concours I had, and it wasn't long before I had three warped rotors. I will be replacing pads with the oem part from now on.

yeah I figured that's why they used the plastic screws - so they would give in the event of a sudden impact. btdt, don't care to repeat that experience - done with an amateur rider, of course.

I didn't have any problem seeing them, but apparently they are made out of compressed seaweed. I stripped the head out of one of them. Then for some reason, I put the first screw back in. I finally got the second one out with a star socket. By then I had forgotten that I put the first screw back...

well I got it done. I think if I ever have the pleasure of meeting who ever came up with that mounting system, I'm gonna treat him to a swift kick in the nuts. :angry2:
