    My Spencer Seat is Back

+1 on The Spencer seat work. Had both seats done a year ago. With the stock seats, it seemed like I was always sliding towards the tank. With the passenger on board, we were both were slipping forward. After Spencer's work on the seats...No more sliding forward on either seat. Burning buns have...

    THANK YOU! THANK YOU

Blueman, My '05 was experiencing low speed throttle abruptness. On/off at small throttle openings. TB Synching didn't solve the issue. Put the PCIII in w/smoothness map. BIG difference. Throttle is very "smooth and linear now. As a side benefit, it seems to be running marginally cooler. It runs...

    HEY BOUNCE

I have an '05 also and added the PCIII with Smoothness map to help with the low speed throttle sensitivity. After the install it was like a different bike. Linear throttle, no jerkiness at low speeds. Another benefit on mine is that it SEEMS to run a touch cooler on the temp gauge. The temps...

10 Days Of Joy, 4 Days Of Rain From Hell, 6 Seconds Of Disaster

Whew! What a lousy ending to your trip. Never can let your guard down. Glad the injuries weren't any worse! Here's hoping for a speedy recovery. John

    Give me a HAND!!!

I experienced nearly the same thing right after getting my '05 and going on a 300 mile trip. Felt like someone had hit my wrist with a sledge hammer...repeatedly. Did the spring unwind. Helped 90% of the ache. Next added risers that brought the bars up AND back toward me. No problems since. Yoda...

Condolences to Tim's Family and MANY friends. His witty and humorous posts always brightened up my day. My wife knew when I was on the forum AND laughing TWN had replied to a post. He'll be missed by this lurker... Godspeed...

Do you think you can ACE IL motorcycle test???

72% ...Been riding since '73, but I quess I better find a "learners tag" like they have over the pond and display it proudly. :angry2: Safety-crat had to have wrote the test, not a motrocycle rider or enthuisast. I quess i can quit looking at 'Busa's now...Anybody got a good deal on a...

Help me understand the Power Commander

My '05 is stock 'cept for the PCIII. I'm running the Wally Smoothness map. It solved "my perceived" lowspeed/rpm abruptness and slight surging that wasn't solved by the spring "adjustment" and very carefull modulation of the right hand. U-turns w/o PCIII were on/off throttle herky-jerky affairs...

The '08 Hayabusa is just NO GOOD!!!!!

Hey Warchild, though I may be envious of the 'Busa in your stable... you don't have to rub it in that you can even ride this time of year. It was -10* this morn with snow/ice on everything here in Ne. C'mon spring! Be careful out there. John

    Power Commander

I have an stock '05 and did the spring thing w/ Barbarian Mod, but the low speed "Throttle reponse" still wasn't like I thought it should be. U-turns w/ passenger was something to be avoided. After the PCIII, low speed response was hugely improved. No more feeling like on/off proposition...

    Mature Riders and FJR's

Might as well add my .02 worth to this "little" topic... 51 yrs young and the 05 FJR is my 20th street bike. Positively love the performance of the FJR. The Wifey-2b, didn't want an engagement ring...said "I want a engagemnet-bike".(Pinch me!!) FJR was the instant choice. Still have a 98 1200...
